Another wet day today. The rain didn’t pour hard but rained and drizzled most of the day. I stayed wet all day and my feet were at all time pain and destruction, adding new blisters and sores each day. I ran out of Band-Aids but used gauze pads and tape to patch things up. I’m at a point of desperation with my feet as I really don’t want to walk on them anymore but I don’t have any choice. I must tough it out to the border. One more day…
Everything in my tent is wet, including my sleeping bag. I shivered all night. I plan to replace the tent with a double walled one when I finish this section, to prevent the constant dripping of condensation onto me through the night. I was shivering when I had to put on my soaking wet clothes and boots this morning. This is what I imagine hell would be like…
I only did about 15 and a half miles today. The least in a long time. I think my spirits are down and I’m not enthusiastic about completing miles. Unfortunately, I will need to do 19 miles tomorrow to get to Manning Park in Canada. It will be a long day.
My feet are waterlogged by the end of each day, making the skin soft and easy to scrape off.
